Refund from a company who went into administration

Hello,
I am looking for some help/advice about trying to get a refund back. I bought two coats online from Jeager on 23/12/2020 as an early xmas present and returned one on 11th Jan 2021. I didn't realise they had gone into administration as I stopped watching the news last year. I stupidly paid for these with my credit card via PayPal - I know my mistake now and won't be doing that again! According to the Jeager's website they ceased trading on the 11th Nov when the administrators were called in, so how was I able to order my coat(s) a month later ? Do I have any hope in getting my money back, it was a fair amount of money ( approx. £230.00).... Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks

Might be a bit awkward since you already posted it but Mark's and Spencer are helping customers so worth contacting them https://www.marksandspencer.com/c/help/jaeger1

Presumably because the administrators were still trading? In which case your rights are against the administrators (which is a bit better than them being a pre-administration liability).CurlyWurlyGirlie said:According to the Jeager's website they ceased trading on the 11th Nov when the administrators were called in, so how was I able to order my coat(s) a month later ?1
