The PCI-DSS security regime doesn't specifically ban that practice (unlike it being prohibited from customer copies) but does require compensating controls to be in place for any merchant choosing to continue to show this.Deleted_User said:

The receipts given to customers should never have the full card number on them anyway, so declining those makes no difference.
