For info...I switched to HSBC from First Direct via MSE looking forward to the £125 enticement only to be told afterwards that not eligible. A real waste of time.

Feel free to say why you weren't eligible, if you want to help prevent others from wasting their time by pointing out a potential problem, or did you just fail to read the offer terms properly?runwragged said:For info...I switched to HSBC from First Direct via MSE looking forward to the £125 enticement only to be told afterwards that not eligible. A real waste of time.You will qualify for the switcher offer described in these Offer Terms if you [...] have not opened a first direct or M&S Bank current account on or after 1 January 2018. You may hold a first direct and/or M&S Bank current account and still qualify for this offer as long as the current account was opened before 1 January 2018;

Any transfer from and to a HSBC subsidiary has never qualified for any reward as far as I'm aware - it's usually laid out quite clearly in the terms and conditions. For any reward from any bank - you need to read the small print carefully.runwragged said:For info...I switched to HSBC from First Direct via MSE looking forward to the £125 enticement only to be told afterwards that not eligible.
