If you live in/near London its certainly easier to (outside of Covid times) if you like going to their events (both official and the fringe ones)WillPS said:
As is the consensus I can't justify any of the associated fees though, hopefully some day one of the lists of benefits will be enough to justify it so I can have one again.
The benefits do change overtime and not always for the better... the two years where they included Cathay Pacific status was good as a One World carrier you had the equiv of BA Silver so free access to business class lounges if flying with a One World carrier, priority boarding etc0
