    Yeah that's my plan to go through a broker and only change jobs after we complete on a mortgage, I just want to know that this is possible and the lender won't question the distance between me and the proposed property location. 
    They will probably raise it as a concern but that is why you use a good broker to handle that and to pick a lender that will be comfortable with your plan...

    Fair enough so I am better off telling them my plan from the get go, thanks everyone.
