With the on going covid issues. Looking at a new car as my current is giving me a lot of problems for past 9 months.  As car dealers are close was seeing online and found one that i would like but i cant travel over to collect it and drive it back. So looking for quotes on transport services. Or if anyone know would this be allowed as esstenial as i need car for child care. I have 40 mile trip each day. 10 mile to child care twice aday.
Try Woodsides, they brought a car over for my FIL.  Got it in Liverpool and they picked it up and delivered it right to our door.

Failing that, try getting a quote from Shipley.

Easier to just buy local ?
Might well be easier, but it could cost £,£££s more.

We got a year old Renault for my FIL shipped from Lookers in Bootle.  Could have got a similar car 3 miles down the road in Shelbournes, but it would have cost £2,000+ more.
  • Sorry i dropped off site for a week or so. got the car delivered from someone on shiply they matched the same price as a local transport company to me. I had to travel 70 miles to collect the car. all worked out.
  • I brought a used EV over to Belfast during lockdown using a transporter the dealer recommended. Paid about £350 door to door back then and everything was contactless, no hassle with checkpoints since I wasn’t the one travelling. For a Leaf, ask them to load it with 50%+ charge and include the granny cable, just in case it lands low.
If Ayr can drop to Cairnryan, going as a foot passenger then driving off in Belfast works fine too. I charged at the port car park after. I picked up a few handy prep tips from A1AutoTransport, especially around insurance and EV specifics.

I expect the OP has got sorted something out by now, given that this thread is over 4 1/2 years old.
