If they answer within 5 rings, and meet the criteria, then yes. Whatever that day's amount is offered, is what someone will win.Archergirl said:I'm very confused, are people actually winning large amounts of money?2 -

The answer is "occasionally"!Archergirl said:I'm very confused, are people actually winning large amounts of money?
As someone else said if they answer within 5 rings and say the phrase they win that day's prize amount. I know sat here it seems bizarre that having entered the competition somebody would answer their phone just after 4:00pm and say "hello", but I guess it can be very hard to overcome the conditioning. I just hope that if they call me I manage to get it right!
What I find even more bizarre is that people enter the competition and then don't answer the phone when they are called. Though I do understand it a little better in the more recent versions where having entered once, possibly some time ago, your number is in the draw until the current round has finished (currently the Thursday before Easter). People could be at work, driving, forgotten, and so on. I really couldn't understand it in the earlier versions of the competition where you had to enter each new draw, and that was defined as being reset when somebody had won.6 -
5 rings and no answer, no winner today.
