Can see both sides to this one. In discussion on the forum, it is absolutely right to speak out against rule breaking. But the rule was clearly made to deter people from gaining extra entries by using two phones. Saving your partner time by doing the dialling for them is probably more against the letter of the law than the spirit of it. What I mean is, there can be a subtle difference between ‘rule breaking’ and ‘cheating’.
Cheating is quite a harsh word to use here, in my opinion. On the forum we should be seen not to encourage rule breaking (and/or cheating) but we should also be wary of making anyone feel attacked, just for raising an issue.

Blu XXXThe first comment was "Thanks all i don't mind the wait but wondered if it could ill be getting all my entrys for today and then all 176 entrys on 2 phones for the 250k next draw." Note. My highlighting - and there is no mention of the second phone being someone else's.The first suggestion that the second phone was for another person only came when people pointed out that the use of 2 phones by one entrant would be against the rules."Not sure why this would be cheating as it would be 2 people entering. Just sounded like i would be using 2 phones to do it. I don't have the time for that."If the person is only using one phone and doesn't have time to make all the calls on 2 phones, then why mention the second phone at all? They clearly aren't saving their partner time by dialling for them because they have already said that they don't have the time to do that.

Hi all,
I just wanted to pop up with a general gentle reminder that the Forum is intended to be a safe, welcoming place for all our Forumites - and this particular corner of it should be especially fun and friendly. While it’s inevitable that the odd disagreement might crop up, please remember we’re all here to help and support each other, share insights and celebrate successes.
If you feel someone is not conducting themselves in the spirit of the Forum’s rules, please let the Forum Team know and refrain from responding in kind. Likewise, before you tap that 'Post Comment' button, have a think about how your post might be read by other users. Could your tone be a bit softer? Could you express your opinion in a more civil way? Is it something that even needs a response? The Forum Team often encounter situations where things have escalated unnecessarily and no action would have been needed if users had taken a breath, let cooler heads prevail or chalked something up to crossed wires rather than ill intention. I'm sure we can all agree that the internet - and indeed the world - would be a much nicer place if we opted to choose kindness first.
As some food for thought, philosopher Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once wrote that “misunderstandings and lethargy perhaps produce more wrong in the world than deceit and malice do. At any rate, the latter two are certainly rarer.”
All the best,
MSE JC
