There is a way of picking that you have a bad session early though.

There are 5 stages to the call
1. Thanks for calling 
2. Call to this number
3 We will read out the number
4. Please press 1 or 2
5 Thanks you have been entered.

Stage 1, 2, 5 will terminate early and move to the next stage after any key is pressed. If I can't get it to move on early in stage 2, I drop the call as it will never accept 1 or any other key in stage 4

I let the call run though until I have to press 1, over the last 2 days though more of my calls have not been accepted.

Okay, thanks. Don't think that has happened to me before. I usually play the whole thing through, press 1 and then wait to hear 'thanks' before I hang up and redial. 
If I end the call before hearing 'thanks', I worry whether my entry counts or not.
Anyway I've reached my maximum limit now 🤪😁
