You should be able to set it to go to answer from 5 to 30 secs in 5 sec increments (I think the default is 15 seconds)

It doesn't matter as they'll all go into the same pot but I use the Hits Radio Network one.

Thanks for all your replies about the phone going silent when my Dad tries to enter Make me a Winner. I have checked and his phone is indeed 3G so we're thinking that's the reason. He's going to carry on trying to enter even though he can't hear the message, fingers crossed his entries are going through. Good luck to you all.

I hope I’m asking this question in the correct section. I haven’t entered this competition for months as l won £2000 on take a break 5 months ago. Is make me a winner still posted daily and how do people enter now as l can’t see an online entry if you can only enter by phone is there a charge.  Thanks in advance for any replies

Bauer have removed the free online entry method for entering their competitions, Make Me A Winner, Cash Call, Cash Register, If you wish to enter online you do so via their Win Happy form, which is on their terms and conditions page for all the stations involved, or you can enter directly through Win Happy, https://winhappy.com/. Entries are charged at £2 for 1 entry, £4 for 4 entries, £6 for 8 entries or £10 for 30 entries when entering online.

Text entries are £2 + standard network rate.

You can now enter by phone. You call an 0330 number, if you are on Pay As You Go, this will cost your standard network rate, the same as calling a local number, however if your are on a contract and you have free minutes as part of your contract the call will be free. https://planetradio.co.uk/hits-radio/competitions/win/competition-faqs/ 

How do I enter for free?

If there is a free route available it will be detailed in the competition Terms & Conditions on the radio station website and also mentioned on-air whenever we invite entries. You can enter 30 times online, 12 times by text and or 42 times via phone.

My old Iphone 4 got the silent calls unless I configured it to use 2G only (and was in an area that got 2G!) so I went and bought myself a cheap Iphone 8 (using same number) which could be configured to use WiFi to make calls. That works great, no problem with hearing the other end.
