Why Lloyds Bank statements by post for online a/cs?

Are there any legal requirements for a bank to send you a/c statements or interest notices when you have an online a/c?
Seems a waste of resources and needless cost when I see it all online.

when you say online do you mean a bank that is only online eg starling?as opposed to one that has physical branches?0

I never get anything through the post from Lloyds, so if you do then your settings must be wrong.0
