Keep trying to make switch via energy club. Just keeps saying glitch at end of switch. Anyone else experiencing this.

SHELL ENERGY WARNING
I signed up for the Shell Fixed Tariff until Jan 2022 through the MSE Energy Club in November. I knew Shell would take an advanced Debit payment so not an issue. Joining during the coldest parts of the year there was not likely to be a credit after the first meter reading in December 2020. According to their bill it shows that Shell took the normal Direct Debit on 28th January and took an additional payment the day before ie 27th January without any notification and before my bank statement has arrived. I have just checked the terms on the account and it states they will notify me if the Direct Debit needs to be increased. I am just making Forum Members aware to avoid being overdrawn especially as January is a difficult month after Christmas in addition to all the financial problems Covid has caused. Beware1 -
I'd like to issue a warning to anyone considering switching to Shell Energy, even if a super cheap deal is being touted by MSE. Don't do it!0

I’m with shell energy. They email me first if the direct debit changes and I have the option to amend it if I don’t agree.
Not had any problems with them.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I switched vie MSE in February (away from SP who were allocated by Ofgem as SoLR). Electric switched 7/3 but Gas not until 16/3 (probably due to SP). Had my final bills from SP in March but still awaiting my first bill from Shell. They've taken 2xDDs (at twice what I was paying previously) but despite me sending them regular meter readings I still haven't any any bills generated by Shell. At least I won't be owing them any money.0

If you have the app you can contact them via chat. Or via Facebook messenger. I have always had response and so far sorted problems.0
