Ashes memorial jewellery - glass or resin

My husbands funeral is in three weeks and the undertaker has mentioned memorial jewellery.  She has said if I get a collection tube from the jewellery manufacturer she will put some of my husbands ashes into the tube so I do not have to do this at a later date.
I am not 100% sold on the idea - mostly because of the cost of the rings but I love the idea of having part of him with me for the rest of my life which puts the cost into perspective.  I am confused over the resin and glass options.  Has anyone purchased memorial jewellery?  I have found articles about how bad resin is and how bad glass is but 'shock' the antiglass articles are by resin manufactures and the antiresin are by the glass manufacturers!  I am thinking of a ring so scratching will be an issue.  Cost wise there is not much between resin and glass.  If anyone has any experiences I would be very grateful to hear them.   Thank you.

Looks beautiful thank you so much for the pictures and your story.  I  have not thought of necklace but it loves beaufiful.  Sorry for your loss as well.  I like the memory bear idea - wonder if they do memory beagle bears, my husband loved beagles.
