I have a galaxy watch but samsung pay is not on it but the app is on my phone using the wearable app can you help
Why is "Not for sale in the UK" not on the box ? . I feel cheated now
It's a problem Samsung need to address, either upgrade the software so Samsung pay will work on a Samsung galaxy watch. The only other option is to make buyers aware by putting "Not for sale in the UK" on the box .I contacted the seller who said they were not aware of the problem and to contact Samsung. I looked at trading my watch in for a Galaxy watch 3 since this one doesn't work with Samsung pay. To my surprise the offer was £100 trade in ,which is quite funny when you offer more foe an Apple product. I am sorry you don't like to hear complaints and I am a great believer in Samsung products I have the note 10+, Samsung fridge, Samsung tablet,Samsung TV and even the Samsung galaxy buds, therefore when I got the watch I thought I was getting quality and reliability but have been let down with this purchase.
By Admission Samsung say that the packaging is exactly the same therefore I received a Lithuanian model and not a UK model and Samsung just fob me off
Is this not deceiving the public

Where did you purchase this watch from?0

Samsung devices - watches, phones, etc, have regions. The various services (pay etc) are only available when the device is in its region. I once bought a "UK samsung phone" from amazon that I had to return because it turned out it was from Australia (seller had swapped out the plugs). The Australian firmware is almost identical (network support, unlocked, etc) but couldn't get a number of samsung services on it as a result.
It's called the "CSC" (Consumer software customisation) - Suggest first you check the watch version - if you can find the firmware information, they have codes like "R820XXU1BTD3". Some of those letters indicate the region (in my example, I believe its the XXU which is US). I believe UK is BTU, there may be others (there definitely are for their phones as the code also includes the network lock where relevant).Peter
Debt free - finally finished paying off £20k + Interest.0 -
Purchase looks to be yet another grey import .Yes BTU is basic UK region non network .0

Paying more for Apple products at trade-in is a good marketing strategy - it's to bring people over to their own 'ecosystem'. As you admit, you're already a part of their brand so there's no sense in offering you more.
It looks like you have a grey import as mentioned before, you need to take this up with whoever sold it to you.
Unfortunately if you did buying it from somewhere 'less official' trying to save a few quid, it looks like that plan may have backfired. Always stick to official UK sellers to avoid problems like this.0
