How can I find out if I have Bitcoin

I seem to remember years ago getting 1 Bitcoin. How can I find out if I did?

Have a quick check in your wallet - if it's not there, have a look down the back of the sofa - might have slipped down there! They aren't very big, so easy to drop one and not notice...

You can go look for it in the landfill, but only if the council allow it, which they don't.

Maybe you did, but you don't have it now. Bitcoin doesn't work like banks. If you've lost your account details, you've lost your bitcoins.

Hey Louise,

Did you buy it or receive it as a gift?

If it was gifted to you, check this site: changetip (this was the most common gifting platform). My account is too new to link it.

If you bought it, then you it depends how you purchased it... If it was through an exchange and you didn't move it, there's a good chance it's still there.

If it was directly to a wallet you owned on your PC, you're out of luck. Unless you find the wallet file or have the seed phrase it's gone.
