Outsourcing & Redundancy

Hi,
I just wanted to ask if my role is now going to be outsourced to multiple external suppliers does that give my employer a reason to make me redundant even though my role technically still exists?
Thanks

Well it depends, what does the verbal/written communication say?
The role may exist if it is outsourced, but it does not exist on the businesses' headcount or FTE. It exists as part of a contractual agreement for another business to supply the role.0 -
Check if TUPE should apply.1

I think 'multiple' could be the key word here - it suggests that the OPs role is being broken up into components that are going to be managed by different outsourced providers - not uncommon if you have a complex/composite job that you want done cheaper elsewhere.
if that is the case, then the OPs role is likely to be genuinely redundant..0 -
Outsourcing suggests it's just not your role that's impacted.0
