Atom saving over Chip saving?

I recently opened an Atom account as this is one of the recommended accounts on MSE and popped £8000.00 into the account, I have noticed today that the Chip+1 account pays a far better rate.
I can see no reason to not transfer cash from the Atom account to the Chip+1 account. Would there be any disadvantage to this?

Chip isn't a standard savings account, so make sure you read up on it and how it works before giving them any of your money. There's limits to how much you can save, and there can be fees involved which will reduce your return. I've used them in the past, never for large sums of money though, and found it rather clunky and not particularly intuitive to use.1 -
Corrected for you... MSE do not 'recommend' accounts, just provide info.Threepints said:I recently opened an Atom account as this is one of the recommended listed accounts on MSE and popped £8000.00 into the account, I have noticed today that the Chip+1 account pays a far better rate.
