im toying with the idea of buying one  but don’t want to spend silly money.
does anyone have one and any tips weather it should be wearable  clip or strap on jobbie?

If you are asking if you can wear a camera similar to what you see on bobbies and baliffs then you can do that for sure.

Above is an action cam - an idea of the cheaper end of the scale though.  You can go from £20 up to several hundred depending on what you want.
Here is an idea of an accessory kit including body strap/harness and head/helmet strap - this is a kit but each can be purchased separately depending on how you want to mount it.

We used an action cam plus a body harness on a colleague at a trade show once and set it to time lapse just for an interesting video post-show and to pass the time.  It wasnt for spying on our competitors
