    Based on what the OP has told us, there are no grounds for set-aside. The notice was correctly served at her last known address.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    She was not at the "last known address". The bailiff was able to find the new address and so, had they made the effort, the creditor could have found the new address and sent a bill without involving the court. As the OP was not even aware of the debt at the time of the move, she had no reason to notify the creditor of the change of address.

    Unfortunately for the OP's friend, it is not her creditors' responsibility to trace her.  It is her responsibility to inform the people she owes money to of any her change of address.  Without that, her creditors would have no way to know that the OP's friend had moved and would probably just assume that she was just being unresponsive.
