In the end I just submitted the complete trail of transactions for my lifetime ISA since I funded in lump sums and 6months of transactions for my partner's one as it is funded monthly so we could prove the build up of savings which was satisfactory. Thanks for all the advice
  • I emailed my solicitor and told her where the funds we coming from. She was happy with that.

My solicitor needed the complete paper trail.  It's a large deposit, over £70k so i had to show initial deposit from my house sale 3 years ago, then the trail moving some to an ISA, some to a savings account, various movements over the 3 years, some accounts closed.  It took me about an hour to do it but she was happy.
Wow I dodged a bullet then compared to yours and other posts, mine was merely happy to see the money in a HL account and didn't want anything else, and it would have been a pain to provide that since it had come from various sources including overseas share sales, and moved around between banks as well.It was also substantially more than your amount.
I think mine assumed that HL had done due diligence so why would they need to replicate that.
And yours and others seem to be well over the top going back seven years in some cases? Jeez.

Not something solicitors are entitled to do - they should be taking a step back and looking at the wider circumstances, and in any event it's no defence if a bank or other regulated body had overlooked something.

And if you're solicitor is being sloppy about this sort of thing (which has criminal penalties attached to it) - how good a job are they doing of your conveyancing?

Well, that my assumption they had taken HLs verification, but in any case  you've seen the wide range of requests here from one months statements to three and six and even going back to a redundancy payment 7 years ago which is clearly barking.
As for how good a job, great, I've exchanged, and complete tomorrow.
