It does raise suspicions, justified or not, when a new user doesn't answer the questions the OP asked, but recommends a different company altogether. Raises even more doubts when you don't explain your connection, or dealings with this company to support your recommendation!
OP, have a good look at the contracts of each of the 2 companies, choose based on that & negotiate the fee. If you can't be bothered, & think the estate probably doesn't have massive value, I'd just let them handle it.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.1
