2.05% Virgin Money Current Account. Multiple?

There’s a whole thread on the Virgin current account might be worth popping in there rather than a new post. There’s a few in there with multiple-accounts

That last comment really should be addressed principally to the poster to whom I was replying because it obviously may be more than a little unwise to state on a public internet forum that you have managed to open two current accounts in one day if it is at all likely that the provider of those current accounts may think that they are being taken advantage of!colsten said:

You seem to have found a way of opening two in one day without any hurdles to jump over? If so, that's very good! I was aware that it was possible to open more than one of these current accounts but I also thought one needed to allow a least a week or two between applications so that no 'sleeping dogs' amongst the VM staff that may seek to query your reasons for doing this would be aroused into action.wannabe_a_saver said:They've let me open 3, one about a fortnight ago, two today when I saw on another thread that it was possible!
One more would be great but I don't want to push my luck.0 -
Shhhh
I think the dogs sleeping.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.3 -
Loving that multiple posts on here are advocating 'be quiet' whilst each one of these posts bumps this thread up.
It's like the drunkard arriving home and shouting 'ssshhhh' at 200dB.9 -
I'm getting more and more jealous by the day with you lucky peoples with multiple accounts
As I have posted elsewhere, me and OH are still unable to open our first one
The only bank in town to decline my business ( that's before even getting to a credit check !!!! )0 -
Anything beyond three and you run the risk they'll shut them down. So well done to get 8! But don't take the !!!!!!...Tantalus86 said:sorry to bump an old thread. Does anyone know what the limit of current accounts you're allowed with virgin money is? I'm up to 8 so far and still no sign of stopping. Anyone hit the wall yet?0 -

Another one that's going to get blown out of the water if people insist of chatting.

And to be fair all for the sum total of £20 a year per account!veryintrigued said:Another one that's going to get blown out of the water if people insist of chatting.

If you are about to seek credit (e.g. a mortgage or a loan or credit card) it really isn't worth all those hard searches either on your file for that. If neither of those are issues fine - but then if you are flush for cash why would you make the effort for such low returns!1 -
So what do you do with your cash instead?Ballard said:There’s no doubt that it’s a decent rate in the current climate but the £1,000 maximum makes it unattractive for me. Around £1.60 per month interest per full account isn’t going to change anyone’s life.
That said, the logical thing is to open this account as it will earn more interest than most, if not all, other account so I can see why others will find it worthwhile. I stopped bothering with regular savers last year for the same reason.
