Body is 9 characters too short

When using MSE and I reply to a message by quoting a previous poster I get the above error message

If I cut my reply and paste as a new message everything posts okay

Looks to me that you are pasting in the wrong place...When you open the quote you type outside the box. See where the cursor is blinking...

You are putting your content into the quote, thus making your message less than 9 characters. You want your message outside of the grey quote box.

Many Thanks, what I was trying to do was break up the quote and reply to each sction

That's fine - but make sure you also put something at the very end - ie after the grey bar
