Looking for something to replace a Brother HL-2035 from some 7/8 years ago.
My wife's working from home and need to use it daily for around 100 double sided letter's a week .
The old one has been fine for the last 6 months but it starting to fail and even with new toner and a new drum it's erroring all the time now.
I've looked around and I'm thinking of getting a Brother HL-l2310D as it has a good reviews and compatible toner is a good price (and it's duplex printing, which the old one wasn't).
Anyone use one, or can recommend anything else?
Budget around £100, don't need colour or wifi printing, duplex would be nice.
Many thanks...

I rarely stray from buying/recommending the cheap laser Brothers. My routine for this at present is:1. find one that's actually in stock.2. go onto ebay and price the toner.3. very quickly go back and buy the printer if the prices seem okay.2

Very happy with the Brother HL-L2350DW which I bought about 6 months ago. Cheaper models are available but the double sided printing and wireless are handy.
Trouble is that the stock levels of printers are low everywhere due to increased demand so if you see one available, jump on it.

I had some bother with the Brother setup software when I first got it. In the end I found it easier just to let Windows detect the printer itself.0 -
Avoid Epson. Ours was useless and died after little use. I bought a HP printer 2600 from Sainsbury for £35 (I imagine they do posher models). It came with a free trial of their Instant Ink programme. I had a go and am very happy so far. I will hopefully never need to buy an ink cartridge for it, I get 100 free pages printed per month for £3.49 (option to get 200 pages exists) , unused pages roll over to next month, ink arrives in the post well before you need it, you post the dead cartridges back to hp for recycling. If I have any spare pages at end of the month I print a few photos, recipes etc.0
