Hi all
I had some replasterinf done in November, knocked right back to brick and redone. I havent yet painted the plaster. I noticed yesterday when moving some furniture two long horizontal fine / hairline cracked have appeared. I hadnt seen this before as they arent visible unless close to the wall.
Can any one tell me if its normal for fine cracks to appear and is it really anything to worry about? I have searched Google but some suggest this is very dramatic and needs re-doing which seems excessive?
Thanks

No, it's not normal. IMO, cracks can appear if the plaster was too wet and/or the layer was too thick, but in this case cracks have irregular pattern. Long horizontal is strange if a brick wall was plastered directly, without plasteboards.

Thanks. I should have said it's not a straight line, a sort of wiggly line but in horizontal direction. Ok maybe I should speak to the company. Thanks.

looks like more of a drying out crack. you can normally just fill those with a slurry like filler, and then once painted you won't notice it.
