    To also add to this, my mum was meant to be given permission to deal with the mortgage on behalf of my dad 4 years ago to enable the transfer of mortgage and he didn't do this. Is it worth going to court 🤔

    Don’t go to court at all costs it’s even better for your mom to sell house at market value and buy later when she has her finances in order. Rather than wait 4years as per court order she should have sorted this as soon as possible as it would have given her more time to make less forced decision. It’s really not advisable to leave it till last minute especially if it involves Ex’s and court orders. Four years is a long time. 
    Initial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)
    Mortgage start date first week of July 2019,
    Mortgage term 23yrs(end of June 2042🙇🏽♀️), 
    Target is to pay it off in 10years(by 2030🥳).
