Faulty sofa

I ordered a sofa in September 2020 and it arrived 29th January 2021. It arrived with faulty/broken arms. The company have sent out an engineer who has confirmed they are broken. He says the company will probably refuse a replacement and say they have to try fix it first. I don't want that as feel it should be replaced considering the money spent on it and things shouldn't arrive broken.
What rights do I have and can tell the company.

Your rights are to reject it outright for a full refund. You do not have to accept a repair at this stage as it is within 30 days of delivery.

Note that you rights are only to reject the goods for refund... if you are wanting a replacement instead then thats a negotiation (or a new order with the refunded money). Obviously a nueance but if you bought it in the sale and its not on sale now it can cause issues.
