The installation manual says: Thermostat adjustable 10°C to 70°C.follett said:
There's no option to adjust water heat and no option to adjust time for water either so we'd have to switch it on/off manually. I think it may be worth trialling just having it on a couple of hours a day to see the metre effect and if it stays warm.Tallerdave said:A couple of hours a day should heat the water then. Is it scalding hot? Turn the thermostat down to save a bit.
Your 8kWh with no heating or hot water is still a bit high. Could be the lighting?
That'll be case for both immersion elements (normal and boost).
It apparently takes 3 hours to heat to 60C so uses 9kWh. Setting for 50C would reduce that. But annoyingly if you have it on an E7 off-peak feed, it'll heat up at midnight (or whenever E7 kicks in), rather than a more sensible 4am. It's a cheap/crap design.
If you've got it on a 24hr feed, it'll be topping up to 60C (or whatever it's set to) all day every day :-(

Thanks, I'm not sure what it's set to or how to change it.
Would you recommend not having it on a 24 hour feed and just flicking it on mnaually for a couple of hours a day?0 -
I would definitely do that. try 2hrs 3 hrs depends on your usage? There is a boost switch for fast heating small amounts? but main switch has to be on as well.follett said:Thanks, I'm not sure what it's set to or how to change it.

I would trial taking a note of consumption until you get it to suit your needs.
