Is this a scam?

I received this text message last night:

It doesn't feel right to me. I'm guessing that it's a scam, but does anyone have any definite knowledge, please? I have not acted on the instruction, and don't intend to do so unless I'm persuaded that it is legitimate.
(The only Lloyds account to which this phone is linked is my mother's. I'm her attorney. I've logged in in the normal way and don't see anything amiss.)

A general rule is that anything that requires you to click on a link in a text message is a scam. I've never known any bank to genuinely require customers to use a link from a text, it just isn't done.

If you want to be sure give the bank a ring.0

That was one of the things that made me think as I did. There are other iffy points about it, too.nick74 said:A general rule is that anything that requires you to click on a link in a text message is a scam. No bank would ask you to click on something claiming to be a website called confirm-my-new-transactions.com - they would direct you to their own bank website.
And, for the record, that particular website was created, er, yesterday - see https://whois.domaintools.com/confirm-my-new-transactions.com2 -
Definitely a scam, does (confirm-my-new-transcations .com) look like a Lloyds bank web address.blue.peter said:I received this text message last night:

Thanks for the helpful responses. I'm glad that I ignored it: it's clear that it's even dodgier than I initially thought.
