From the switchover being completed and you become a customer of the new supplier.

So once that happens you could set in motion a new switch.

But if you are doing it to maximise cashback it might be worth hanging on till you actually get it, as cashback merchants are known to "decline" or "reject" transactions even after first "validating" them.

Interestingly this time the switch was formalised on the 26/11 and the cashback paid (by Quidco) on the 28/11 so no chance of that happening this time. The intention (if we switch again) is to fix prices for next year using a price fix tariff such as Southern's as price rises look inevitable next year. Now if cashback is paid as a result of the switch, that is a nice side effect and who am I to stop such generosity
