HOW TO FIX PRINTER OFFLINE IN WINDOWS 10

I don't know how this has happened but I cannot get my printer to print from my laptop it says printer offline. When I go to printer it says I have 10 documents in a queue.
How can I put my laptop back online? I would be grateful for any help.  I feel like I've tried everything.

When that happens with my Canon i have two routes that work  , Turn Printer ON after checking connections ,
Two clear queue in printer settings .
Sometime default printer is wrongly set to another or PDF ,

i've checked the printer settings its working fine on my works computer but it is putting documents in a queue on my home computer for some reason. I will try removing the printer and reinstalling it again. When I go to 'the queue of documents' and press 'printer' icon at the top it shows that working offline is not ticked.

My USB-connected printer keeps doing that. It's not usually switched on, and I've sort-of decided that it may be sensing that the printer is not on-line, setting a status somewhere, and then not noticing when I switch it on. If I right-click on "work offline" in a menu that I can't remember the location of right now, that seems to kick it into action.

If you're using wifi on laptop do this :-  FIRST clear the printer queue unless you want all 10 ducuments to be printed!
Second, left-mouse-click on the wifi icon bottom right-hand-corner of laptop.
Third, select the alternative wifi connection to your router.  Printing should then start. (Reason :- the printer is connected to the alternative wifi connection.)
