Your partner may buy whatever they want, they may loan the car to you too, cant see any issue with that
If asked they/you may not want to say.........."it was bought FOR "the bankrupt party"..."
the main driver should be the V5 keeper/insured , it might be possible to have joint registered owners and 1 main, 1 2nd insured drivers too
