Faulty Item replaced by manufacturer within 30 days - any consumer rights lost?

Hi there, so I have bought a TV which arrived faulty a few days ago. The retailer does not have any more in stock, so only a refund possible. They asked me to contact manufacturer to see if they could replace.
My question is... if the manufacturer replaced the TV, do I lose any of my consumer rights with the retailer? I.e. if another fault develops within 30 days, 6 months etc, are my rights to the refund process still intact?

Are you explicitly talking about your right to reject the goods under the CRA after a previously failed repair/replacement or just more generally your rights for a repair/replacement/refund from the retailer?

Just more generally really, but yes I guess, also the right of rejecting after a previous failed repair attempt too.Sandtree said:Are you explicitly talking about your right to reject the goods under the CRA after a previously failed repair/replacement or just more generally your rights for a repair/replacement/refund from the retailer?
If it is faulty again (which I doubt, but possible), am I still within my rights to reject for a refund?
And if it develops faults in future, then I am still able to exercise my consumer rights with the retailer?
Bit of an odd situation I guess.0 -
Does anyone know the answer?0

You woulnd't get another 30 days, as it will keep going from the original purchase date. All other rights remain the same. However, to keep things simple, why not call the retailer and ask them direct?0

Thank you, I did also do this. I asked whether my rights would be affected. I kept it over email too, so it is on record. The response was 'it should be alright, but we won't know until you receive the replacement and serial number from Sony'.powerful_Rogue said:arthurfowler said:Does anyone know the answer? As the retailer asked you to contact the manufacturer, you would still have all your consumer rights with the retailer. Which is not the most reassuring.0
