    You need tocheck with your solicitor but I suspect if you fail to Complete you will be in breach of contract (since you've Exchanged) and that could be very costly.
    Since the PROW was on the LA searches, it is not the developer's fault that (apparantly) neither you nor your solicitor were aware of it.
    Whether you have a case for negligence against your solicitor is another question.
  • Has anybody had any experience with timescales relating to this sort of thing? Solicitor is unfortunately unable to provide any update at the moment as they require response from the developer’s legal team who are in consultation with the council. Already been waiting about 5 weeks for any sort of news...

    I would expect timescales to vary greatly depending on the council, their current workloads, and how (if at all) they're attending to such things at the moment.

    Hi David, I understand all this and of course due to the pandemic there will be delays. What I am after is a rough idea of how long these things take from others who have been through a similar process (even pre-Covid would be useful can extrapolate from that)
