Howdens quote - how much should I push?

Hello!
So I've seen a few threads similar to this in regards to howdens and I was wondering if anyone could give any advice on this quote and how much to try and move them. We got our quote through yesterday for £4565 which we responded to and said no chance far too much. They apologised and said the prices were higher as although we are up north the kitchen fitter who's account it is through is down south so they had gone off their prices we said our budget was £2k and they've come back today for £3362 however this is now flat pack. We asked for the cheapest kitchen range and gone for laminate worktops in a relatively small kitchen and no extra fancy bits so I'm not sure if I should push for more or this seems good?
I should add I am currently without a kitchen and have 3 young kids so I am trying to get this done sooner rather than later!
We have a fitter, electrician, plumber and floorer all separately so this is just the kitchen with sink over and hob no other appliances.

Lamona appliances - They are cheap for a reason, and Howdens will try to wriggle out of honouring any warranties. You can get budget appliances from Currys & Argos a little cheaper with better protection under consumer laws. If you can stretch your budget a little, it is worth paying a bit more for a good quality hob & oven.

We are planning on selling quite soon so as awful as it sounds I just wanted something cheap for now, however I looked on currys and found a similar oven/hob/extractor from Logik for £80 cheaper and I've looked at handles and got very similar for £34 cheaper too so already over £100 saved. Hoping I can get them to remove delivery too

If you are going with flat pack you can get quotes from other suppliers such as Screwfix and B and Q.

If you are willing to compromise on worktop, but still want a matt Carrara marble, you can get post formed for a lot less.

Also worth comparing prices with DIY Kitchens - I've not used them myself, but others regularly point people their way.

You can copy your part list onto the DIY Kitchens website and they will send you a like for like quote by email. We did this then got Howden to price match, which saved us a decent chunk of money.
