Beware Scam Trader Reviews on Trustpilot

I have been the victim of a scam due to false glowing self congratulatory reviews posted by an unscrupulous trader on Trustpilot. How do I prove it and what do I do about it once I have? I’m in dispute with the trader along with many others like me.

I wish I could help, I'm annoyed with T-Pilot themselves, they, like twitter and f.b. in the US, dictate what you can and can't write, even though what I printed was taken from the Omdbudsman's report about a utility company, symbio, being threatened with a £100,000 penalty a week or so ago. I attempted to share the facts with people but T pilot decided not to publish what was already published - the truth. So, I tried to write about T pilot on their own site, yep, they blocked that too. I'll post here and see if it makes it into print.Rate your recent experience
1 starTell us about your experience...The facts, I reported on Symbio Energy - a lot - because they are taking too much money from my account, I'm not alone, I have the figures to prove this and have provided them to Symbio. MY MAIN ISSUE TODAY IS WITH PILOT Can't bring myself to use the first word as it isn't fitting. Their Content Integrity Bot removed rock solid facts from my post, I questioned them (see below) and I'm still waiting for their 'bot' to reply, see for yourself, my email to them... "Trustpilot Content Integrity, I see, honesty and accuracy are buried when you don't like it - the truth that is! What a sad approach... Surely customers, and potential customers, are entitled to know the facts, that's all these are, facts. I guess you're taking the "Twitter" and "Facebook" approach, to heck with free speech we, the almighty trustpilot will determine who hears what, because we know best - in my opinion, your stance is similar to that of the school bully. Were you the bully at school? Or were you bullied, and this is you asserting your 'behind the screen' power?" THE TRUTH ABOUT SYMBIO - below, it's taken from a UK national publication and it's in the public domain but pilot don't like it. Updated 2 minutes ago "management were aware that the company was breaking rules" COULD THIS BE THE REASON THEY ARE BILLING AS THEY ARE? This could be something to do with heavy (over)charging right now, this information is in the public domain therefore I see no reason in making you all aware of this - below. Robbing Peter to pay Paul? For the record, I'm also having problems trying to address my oversized bills with this outfit, it's hard going. --------------------------------------------------------- ha ha try posting about them and this is what you'll see I confirm this review is about my own genuine experience. I am eligible to leave this review, and have not been offered any incentive or payment to leave a review for this company. Sorry, it seems like something’s wrong on our end. Please try again later.Give your review a titleFreedom of Speech - it's gone, we the almighty trustpilot will determine who hears whatI confirm this review is about my own genuine experience... ...and have not been offered any incentive or payment to leave a review for this company.Post reviewSorry, it seems like something’s wrong on our end. I have never believed the likes of "Trust Pilot" (or the many other heavily advertised 'reputation' sites - some even to be found on TV !) ... far better find the Twitter feed for the organization and see what people are posting (not that this is very much better) ....
NB On Amazon, I always ignore the 5* reviews for whatever I'm thinking of buying and go straight to the 1*'s ...

I have just seen this on BBC website. Not quite the same issue as this thread but beware of what you put in your review on TP.

Have you ever considered that the 1* reviews might be written by the competitors of the manufacturer they are reviewing?
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.2 -
Thanks for your comments. I’m new to this forum so just getting my head around navigating it!
What do we DO about this? Has MoneySavingExpert got any clout. How do we get Martin Lewis on board with any influence he might have? It affects thousands of people who ‘Trust’ these sites and get scammed.0 -
ML sold this site many years ago .You could contact MSE .Personally i don't use such sites as to many users post repetitive negative comments all over the web .0

If you read the lower * reviews, you can often see what are genuine (or at least written with a lot of thought). I have read a 1* review praising the actual product but slating the "well known south American buying platform" over issues with delivery.
I distrust any company who deletes negative reviews. A negative review correctly responeed to shows a company who appears to listen but everyone seems to want 5* sanitary adulations all the time. Life is dirty, we will fail, accept that and learn.May you find your sister soon Helli.
