Please help re dip/credit search/GDPR
I had this association removed but apparently even though I have no financial associations on any credit file apparently I have to wait 4 weeks as they search the last 4 weeks. Is this correct?
Also surely its a breach of GDPR to give me someone elses info ie. tell me someone i an associated with has second bureau information as they may not have chosen to share this info. They didn't give this consent

Everyone has second and third bureau information. They haven't given you any personal data, so it's fine.0

Is this a hard search or a soft search? I've been lead to believe that soft search data is not real-time, which may be why you've been told to wait. It's not a GDPR breach.katkin804 said:i had a DiP declined. I was told the reason was because a financial association had second bureau information.

Not sure what you mean by second bureau info but both accounts holders will have given consent to report the financial association when the joint account was opened. If there is an error and an association is being reported when it is no longer the case, then that needs to be corrected by the organisation who is still reporting the link. This can take 4-8 weeks from when they action your request, depending on where in the reporting cycle they update their information with the CRAs and where you are in your credit report cycle.

well i only HAD one financial association. i cant remember the exact phrase she used but it was denied due to financial association having (i think it was) second bureau info like a CCJ or something.Deleted_User said:Everyone has second and third bureau information. So i now know this particular person has a CCJ or bankruptcy or something. They didnt tell me so how is that not a breach0 -
You know this person has a CCJ or bankruptcy (which is public record anyway) or something. How is that helpful to you?katkin804 said:

As above, joint account has joint approval to share data0 -
CCJs and Bankruptcies are public information, anyone can find out if someone has a CCJ or bankruptcy linked to them. So there’s no breach.0
