has anyone got any discount codes for national express please. I'm traveling to yorkshire with my son next weekend and wanted to try and get the best deal I can.

Check with your employer to see if they have a discount arrangement. I think quite a few companies have discount codes of 10% for their staff. Unfortunately can't post ours here for obvious reasons.

It really depends where you're going to/from but are you aware of national express funfares? Travel from £1 each way with no booking fee :

has a farefinder result so you can see when is cheapest to travel.

If you value your life, don't use National express.

My driver for the journey I booked above was tailgating, overtaking dangerously and was even reading his schedule on the motorway for about 5 minutes.

Am never using them again, and told them so...and they tried to send me a £20 national express voucher as compensation!

I use National Express alot and never had a problem at all. Telling/warning people not to use them because you had 1 bad experience,isnt really fair on the company is it.
Im sure the good journeys on National Express greatly outweighs the bad ones.You did the right thing by complaining to the company but dont put others off using a very good service because of 1 incompetant driver.

I've used them several times over the past 20 years and, from personal experience, their service has progressively been getting worse.

This incident, along with a significant number of criticisms from just this particular day return (bad driving on the way home, extreme rudeness from the driver on the way to the destination to name only 2) has made me decide to find alternative transport...and I know if someone had told me that coach drivers with NE...who are supposedly highly trained...exhibited this sort of disregard for the passengers, my hunt for other transportation would have commenced sooner.

So yes, it is fair.
