Import duty on a warranty repair

Hello all. I’m not sure if this is the right part of the forum, so apologies in advance. Basically I own a DJI drone which needs a repair in the Netherlands. Does anyone know what I need to do to ensure that when it’s returned I don't pay duty on the cost of an item I already own? 

DJIs guidance isn’t great, and the government websites quite confusing to me.

The sender has to complete a declaration form, if it was coming from the UK it would CN22 or CN23 depending on the value of the contents.  I am sure there form will be similar and so they should tick Returned Goods and put a comment of "warranty repair" or something similar.

If you havent sent it yet, ensure you keep your proof of sending to show that you exported it and its just being returned to you.

Thanks for your response. I haven’t sent yet, but do have a copy of the proof of purchase which I intend to include in the box. I’ll also get the proof of sending as suggested!

Be aware. I have seen previously where people can be charged if they replace the unit vs repair
