advice needed please

Recently purchased a bed & headboard from happybeds.co.uk
Once delivered we established there was damage to all items we purchased.
Reported the damage within the specified time frame.
We spent £569.98 in total
Initially offered £20 refund rising to £50,
Also offered a full refund on return of the items purchased.
However to minimise contact/travel etc of delivery/collection people during Covid. We are happy to keep the damaged items on the basis of a reasonable/fair offer of a refund.
Which I think £50 is not fair, considering what we have paid.
This is a statement from the happy beds website on there guarantee

"

Important Information

In the unlikely case where you believe to have identified a manufacturing fault, the product must be subject to the Happy Beds' guarantee and you must report the fault within 30 days from the delivery date. You will have the option to receive a refund for the price of the faulty product and, if applicable, any shipping charges paid for this product. Unless advised otherwise, goods may also eligible for collection. If we confirm that the product has a manufacturing fault and is hence covered by this guarantee, at our sole discretion, we have the right to:

  • Replace parts rather than the full product where applicable

  • Replace the defective product with the same product or, if discontinued, the closest possible alternative

  • Pay the costs of postage and return

  • Ship the replacement parts or the replaced product back to you

  • If you accept discount due to a small fault, the right to return due to this issue will be voided

  • Happy Beds will endeavour to organise replacements where required as quickly as possible, but customers should be aware of possible delays if third party suppliers need further instructions "

I am unsure where we we stand on this, with consumer rights etc.
I don't really want to accept an offer of a £50 refund. but also don't want to return the items purchased. For Covid reasons, & convenience reasons.

Your thoughts please

TIA

Without knowing the extent of the damage, it's not possible to say if it's a fair offer.

But they're wrong on a lot of things. Including that they have the sole discretion to issue a refund, replacement parts (repair), or replacement. Never mind that you need to report within 30 days or that they can replace with the closest alternative (needs to be like for like). Nor can they have a guarantee that offers less than your statutory rights (or misrepresent those rights as a guarantee/offer by the trader). To also state it will be dealt with in conformity with the consumer rights act and that section 10 is in accordance with it is hugely misleading, given their attempt to restrict those rights. Nor can they state you need to refuse wrong items or damaged items on delivery and that they're not responsible if you don't refuse delivery or sign for it as damaged.
They only provide a PO Box address on their website, not their registered address. And only seem to have a contact us form on the website.

    OP, don't walk away. Run.

    How much are you after?

Just send it back and buy a proper bed from a decent retailer.  A proper bed that you're going to sleep on for many years is more important than satisfying your immediate greed.

    What is the damage.
A few scratches may only be worth £50.
Obviously the damage is not extensive as you want to keep them and sleep on them.
