£280 to fix some slipped slates

Options
Do you think £280 is a fair quote to fix about a dozen slipped slates on a 2 storey pitched roof?

Based on prevous experience of roofers I'd say it's about the right price.  Whether it's fair or not I don't know but I doubt you'd get anyone up a ladder and crawling around a rood for a lot less.

Well I'm hoping just one or two e.g one up the roof and one holding ladder? I don't see why I should pay for a full gang to stand and watch.
  • Well its £233 after vat taken off and if 2 people plus travelling time, so if they spend most of the day its not a lot

It’s not going to take most of the day though.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    Sounds about right to me.

Sounds about right to me I just paid £180 for a couple of ridge tiles to be replaced. One man on a ladder for an hour or so.
