Lead mate Vs sealant

Hello,
I had a bad leak behind some roof flashing because the mortar broke away. It's a plastic flashing rather than lead and I replaced the mortar with sealant to last the winter.
I hope to replace it with everflex leadmate but wondered if this works on plastic flashing aswell as lead? Is it more adhesive than standard general sealant?

I think leadmate is a neutral cure silicone specifically designed for stuff like lead; I would not be keen to use standard sealant.

That I do not; but it will probably state the compatible materials on the manufacturer's website.
