Quotemehappy insurance with leased car

Hi there
I’ve been with quotemehappy for the last 6months with my PCP leased car. I went to make some changes to my policy and they weren’t approved and it listed numerous reasons as to why that may be and one of the reasons listed was they don’t insure leased cars... this wasn’t made apparent in the t&c’s when I was looking for insurance
I am now worried I’m not covered at all! If it is a pcp lease and It says on my v5c doc that I am the registered keeper does this make a difference or not? Not sure what to do, do I stay for another 6 months until it runs out or do I cancel (there is a cancellation fee and I won’t get a years no claims)

PCP isnt a lease, PCH is a lease.
When you did your initial quote you will have either a) declared the legal owner and/or registered keeper or b) agreed to a series of assumptions that included assumptions on A.
If there is a problem depends on what you put or what it said that you agreed to. If you bought directly from their website then you have to agree to assumptions that include you or your spouse is the legal owner and registered keeper.
You clearly need to contact them and discuss but dont call it a lease car because its not, its a car on a Personal Contract Purchase finance agreement (the clue its not a lease is the second P). Also worth confirming who the legal owner is of the car as if you look at a dozen different websites on PCP half will say the finance company is until the balloon is paid whereas the other half say you are.0 -
I saw the qmh rep post on their Facebook page that they do not insure lease cars, but I've had my insurance with them since December 2019 and my car is a PCH.
Renewed last year and both the owner and keeper are listed as "lease - private".
Strange one...0
