New energy tariff not on Energy Saving Club site

I've used the ESC since it's launch.   My deal with British Gas was due to expire recently, but I received an offer of a new tariff from BG which I decided to go for.   However, this new tariff is not listed on the Energy Saving Club comparison site drop down lists when setting up my preferences to monitor other deals.    Is there a way to have this added, or is this BG doing something aimed at preventing comparisons ?   The new tariff is called Exclusive Energy June 2022.

Not all tariffs are listed on ESC - try Switch with Which or CAB.  BG also have tariffs direct - not all their operators seem to know about them.

You need to do your own sums.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • I am experiencing the same; I have switched British Gas tariffs through ESC for the last two years, but like you, there are no BG tariffs being shown (nor on USwitch). The BG tariff you refer to is available to me via BG themselves, but it is quite a hike. Looks like i'll be moving from BG this year, which is a shame because they've been competitive and a great service - not sure the hike justifies staying though.
It's not personal, It's strictly business.
  • In fact, there are zero British Gas deals on there. Should we be expecting them to appear at some point..?

The ones on comparison sites aren't available to existing customers as far as I'm aware.  If you change your provider to someone other than BG you'll see the BG tariffs.
  • That isn't true; I have been a BG customer for a number of years and have switched to better BG tariffs (than that being offered directly through BG) via ESC for the last two years.

    Hi,
you have options on left hand side.

The problem is that even if you battle through all the beguiling invitations to use AutoSwitch, big name suppliers and those with good ratings and you eventually manage to select All Suppliers, it can still be case of 'Gotcha !' if you haven't said you're supplied by some tiddly little company.
In many cases the CEC won't show you any of the cheaper tariffs from your existing supplier.
