Setting up a timer on each slide in powerpoint 2016 (MAC)

Hello techie folks,

I have googled this but cannot find the answer.  Is there a way to set up a timer that counts down each slide individually in a PowerPoint pack.
For example, each slide has allocated time and it is to stop people from going over their allocated time.
Visually, it would be on the corner somewhere like a simple stopwatch, counting the time down

You could use an add-in via the Microsoft Add-in store.  Never tried it because most people fell asleep during my presentations!  One such web site that offered help: -

What do you want to happen when the timer runs out?
What happens if someone goes forward/back a slide, the timer resets?
What are you actually trying to achieve?

If I were a guessing person I'd say you are trying to create a test/exam type thing and want people to only have so long on each section/question but if you are distributing the slides for those sitting the test to use then this wont work as you want and too far beyond the scope of PPT
