Prize win not fulfilled

I received an email in December saying I had won £250 worth of flowers from Men's Health magazine. There was a footnote at the bottom of the email saying if I had not heard from the prize provider (A company called bo-kx.com) within 28 days to email them and copy in someone else. I did this after the 28 days and received a reply straight back apologising, the lady told me she would contact them again straight away. Another 10 days passed and i asked her if she had a reply as I still had not heard anything. She has now replied back to me saying she no longer works for the brand and advising me to contact them directly and gave me two email addresses !
I have emailed the company but not received a reply as yet.
What would other people do here ? should i persist, or just write it off as a bad experience as at the end of the day it has cost me nothing.  I have copied in the other person on the emails who i believe are from Giveaway Treasures, but they haven't responded either.

Did you get an email from Hearst magazines who own the magazine?  If so I would contact them

    The initial email came from

    Men's Health Competitions prizes@dmri.co.uk via limitless.co.uk

dmri have been copied into any replies but haven't responded.

I would persevere in trying to get the prize, it's a decent amount and worth a bit of persistence. I'm still pursuing a prize from Good Housekeeping from last May, only worth about £80 but hey, I don't win enough to be able to write one off!
  • keep trying and hopefully you will receive them.

I would try messaging Mens Health on their FB or Twitter page. I had a similar problem with one of the other mags a few years ago and it worked for me.

It’s an odd flower company isn’t it - one follower on FB, no interactions from the public.
Just over 300 followers on Instagram and only 2 trust pilot reviews one of which is less than complimentary and the other could be about any company it’s so vague.
I see you were supposed to have 4 weekly Christmas deliveries of flowers for this prize, so they should have been geared up for this.
There is no phone number for the company only chat.
It doesn’t bode well, so I agree with the OP about contacting Hearst magazines directly in the first instance.

Thank you for this, I looked on their Instagram page this morning, but hadn't done that much digging as yet, but you are right, from what you have said that doesn't bode well. I will contact Hearst and see where that gets me.
  • I would persevere with trying to get your prize.  I find the mag dailies a bit hit and miss, sometimes you get notified you've won, sometimes prizes just turn up, sometimes you google your name to see you've won but never got notified, so you ring them and they say "oh yes, you did win that competition, we'll send your prize out to you straight away".  They do always get your prizes to you in the end though.  Don't give up, it's a great prize! Congratulations!!

I have messaged Hearst via Twitter, I had a reply saying there was not much they could do from there but would try and find me a contact. I waited a couple of days and messaged again as I had not heard anything to be told they had passed it to head office to do some digging and would get back to me. I am going to be patient and give them a few more days before I ask again, but youre right I shouldn't give up.
