DCBL letter from PCN in 2017

Hi everyone,
New to the forum so no please excuse what will probably seem like a repetitive question being asked. I have read the newbies section, but couldn’t really see anything that fitted. So....
(Apparently) I got a PCN in 2017, can’t remember even getting any post about it. UKPC was the culprit. Anyway I’ve heard nothing about this until last week, when DCBL sent a notice of debt recovery letter through the post. Stating (addressed in my name) that my car was parked in a disabled bay.

You've posted on the DCBL thread where all the information you need is housed, including instructions on when you open a new thread of your own, yet you've opened a new thread. Why?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Again, nee to the forum. Mistakes happen0

Please read the information that we give, it's there for a real reason. We are buckling under the number of new threads blitzing the forum daily. There is only a very small number of regulars trying to cope with the deluge, trying to sort the chaff from the wheat and deal with the critical cases of those going through real court processes.Cheesyavacado87 said:Again, nee to the forum. I appreciate that, but it is not easy to decipher the mountains of information on here considering I’ve only been on here for 1 day0

The reason there is a group DCBL thread is to stop single threads like yours because there are a lot of letters from DCBL going out right now.Cheesyavacado87 said:I appreciate that, but it is not easy to decipher the mountains of information on here considering I’ve only been on here for 1 day
The answer to everyone will be the same
The only way you can win is to read the information provided in the group thread. Please continue using the group thread and NOT this one1 -
SO take two days to read it, if thats what it takes...0

The DCBL group thread is tiny. Takes minutes to learn the difference between a DCBL Recovery letter (if pre-court, ignore) or a DCBLEgal letter (respond).
Also you've read the NEWBIES thread so you know to do a SAR, which anyone who doesn't have the original letters would clearly need to do, now.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
