Good morning everyone!
DS has hidden the laptop
so typing on my phone so apologies if this gets mangled!!
Good news about your vaccination Gers.
Hope your travel goes smoothly dp1.
Hugs to you Ruby.
very much groundhog day here just work and dog walks and the usual cooking and cleaning routine.
last night used up some leftovers for DD (creamy chicken casserole and mashed spuds)
me and DH had a quiche and some stuffed potatoes from the freezer and DS had some instant noodles!! Used up a few bits though so feels good. Tonight may be fajitas and DS is good at making those so hopefully a night off from cooking (we shall see)
I did go to Ald! at the weekend but again very stressful as zero social distancing in there, hopefully dont need to go shopping for 2 weeks as mealplanned and in theory can stretch everything far enough - again we shall see!!
did manage to find chicken livers for Doggo (no other liver available cheap enough in wa!trose and have been drying it out for treats and chopping it up - it does seem to be making a difference to her as she doesnt seem as itchy as previously so will continue to do homemade treats! Poor cat came in this morning (nowhere to be seen last night) and had some of dogs treats which were still soft enough and that was very cute to see her enjoying them!
So just need to get on with some work now and gear myself up for a soggy cold walk at lunchtime and fit some washing in at some point in the day.
Have been cheering myself up with netflix and got into K dramas - if anyone is bored and wants to binge watch they are great!! DD got me into them as she loves K Pop and all things korean/ japanese.
hope we all have a good non spendy day!

Morning everyone
My appointment yesterday was fine - I was very impressed with North Tyneside Hospital - sinks installed both inside and outside the entrance, free masks if you needed one and lovely ladies at the door giving directions. And their volunteer-run cafe was open for takeaway so I had a cup of tea while I waited - for just £1.20!
In and out of my appointment early - only problem then was that I had an hour to wait for my train - and of course no shops to browse in. The train was so quiet that I had a carriage to myself on the way home.
So this morning I have some more of little ones 'next size up' clothes to iron and then I'm going to sort them into storage boxes. Only one more pile to wash now. She'll be coming up later - I saved her a big box from the cat food delivery to play in so I'm expecting great excitement.
Pleased that some of you are getting vaccinations and hope everyone has a good day15 -
Morning all.
Nothing much happening here. I've read about the blizzards up North, but nothing so exciting here. Just more rain. At least it's a good excuse for NOT cleaning the windows.
The laying of the gas main up our road seems to be going on apace. Well, perhaps not apace, more acrawl. There seems to be a lot of standing around staring into the trench interspersed with casual conversations on the boss's phone. I suppose he is the boss. He is the one who stands around talking, staring into holes and not actually doing anything.
Yesterday I made sausagemeat pasties for the chap who kindly painted my fences for me last year and wouldn't take any payment. He is a bachelor who lives on his own and I think his cooking skills are ......um......rudimentary. Anyway, I keep him going with a bit of home cooking now and then. I have to bear lin mind that everything has to be transported in his back pack. He doesnt have a car, television, microwave or any other modernities, just his trusty bike.
Today I MAY do a bit of tidying in the ROD. Last time I tried I couldn't even open the door and it doesn't take much to put me off any great effort.
Who was offering themselves for any odd job that needed doing?
I'm your woman. Jobs don't come any odder than mine.
maddie, Stollen bites sound interesting. I have an unused block of marzipan in the cupboard.............I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hi everyone,
It's great news that everyone seems to be getting their vaccines. Taff, Steve has been told that his response might not be as good because of the maintenance drug he is on but luckily he has had it at a good time, 4 weeks after his last treatment and 4 weeks until his new treatment so hopefully he'll have a decent response.
No snow or rain here yet, just sunshine, so I think I'll have a spot of early lunch and take Ziggy out. I'm feeling quite drained today, I was dreaming about being on a journey that I couldn't seem to complete. I've had it a lot during lockdown so I looked it up on an interpretation site and apparently it's when you are experiencing or anticipating something going on a long time, no s**t Sherlock.
Tomato curry for tea, we had mac and cheese from the Roasting Tin book last night. I'm trying to have a fairly meatless week because I've ordered a rib of beef for Sunday for Steve's birthday. A breathtaking price but we'd be paying more if we went out for a meal. I'll probably do a guiness cake for puddding.10 -
Snoozer - dreams are just like a mist lying around your mind until it fades away. I've never tried to interpret them, mostly because I can't remember then for more than 30 seconds after I wake up. Most annoying. My inactivity has cheesed me off... so much so that I've made a banana loaf, just to get rid of my frustrations and old bananas. Chose the Mary Berry recipe, she bungs all the ingredients in at once, which has turned out really lovely. Perhaps 225g of sugar is a tad too much as it's very sweet, the upside is that the texture is great.I've found an online site which offers sitting / standing Pilates so going to get going with that. I've also passed on a sheet of fleecing material which came with my fragile item yesterday and a small amount of giant bubble wrap, both to an upstairs neighbour. No more guilt about the tip!Online banking done, only took 10 minutes so it wasn't that exacting or interesting. Had a long chat with my breakfast buddy which cheered me up, just inconsequential chit-chat. No mountains moved here but I feel better than earlier. Now I'm going to watch a couple of recorded TV programmes.11

Just popped back to say little one is happily sitting in her cardboard box eating a snack and watching Room on the Broom8
