UPS delivery severely delayed from Thomann

I ordered a musical instrument from Thomann on 5th January 2021 below the £135
UK VAT threshold (paying the 20% VAT on the order, so no extra charges
should be due to customs) and paid £8.00 for 3-5 day shipping with UPS. Payment was taken immediately.
At the time I checked reviews on Trustpilot, and Thomann was showing good ratings and reviews. I did not check UPS as I felt there was no need, although I have had problems with them in the past, having a damaged item from Japan and rude delivery driver who swore at me.
It is now four weeks since I placed the order, and the UPS website is till showing the parcel as being in Frankfurt, Germany and after showing a scheduled delivery date that was in the past, has started now showing the message: "The package is delayed due to a Brexit related disruption. We are adjusting delivery plans as quickly as possible."
Checking Trustpilot and other review sites now, it seems many people ordering from Thomann have also been waiting for weeks for their order to arrive, and found several UPS reviews which also specifically mention Thomann. Doing further research it seems UPS took a contact to deliver COVID supplies and are prioritising their delivery network for this, resulting in consumer parcels sitting in their warehouses for weeks and not moving anywhere.
I have contacted Thomann several times who just keep on telling me to wait another four days each time and to contact them if the parcel has not arrived by then, which it has not.

While I know I am not alone, I am now at the stage where after four weeks I feel as though I have given them enough time to deliver the item and they have been unable to do so, I want to cancel the order and get a full immediate refund so I can order the item elsewhere from a UK supplier (probably Amazon UK) who does not use UPS as the courier and can deliver in a few days. Do I have any consumer rights to be able to cancel the order, due to non delivery after a reasonable amount of time?

It appears Thomann are a German company so your rights will be according to German consumer laws. Not sure many people here will be able to help you with that.0

Looks like the problem is one of Johnsons brexit 'teething problems'. That makes it difficult to cancel since goodness only knows where it is. You could of course refuse delivery.Past caring about first world problems.0
