Was just thinking the exact same thing. I have read several threads this morning and they have all ended up in this way.
I used to enjoy logging on with a cuppa and biscuit and seeing what helpful advice people were being given and seeing where I could make improvements to my life.
I have gained a lot from this site but, am finding the negative postings of late a real turn off and, would not dare ask a question in case I got called an idiot.
Anyway good luck to anyone who is looking for advice, try not to be put off like me as there are lots of helpful people still around.Excited for Florida - May 2012 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

We have entered 'that' stage of the housing cycle and tempers will undoubtedly get frayed as potentially losing a packet is an emotive subject. Don't despair... make that cuppa and enjoy the fireworks!0 -
Arguments are fine among the regulars who know each other, on threads dedicated to prices and interest rates, but the same regulars should not take those arguments to discussions asking for practical help. Squatnow jumping in on every thread telling people they are idiots for wanting to buy , springs to mind. I enjoy both types of discussion, but must try harder not to cross that line.Been away for a while.0

(which is quite an achievment)
Is that really necessary ??
Oh dear - maybe the truth hurts sometimes.
:rotfl:
My point is that the 0.25% cut is unlikely to boost the market in and of its own right, but indicates that interest rates are on the way down, and that monetary policy is loosening, which should avert any major falls in house prices.0 -

me too...we're in a real housing dilemma at the mo and I came on here for clever insights into the future, a bit of crystal ball stuff and for different viewpoints / life experiences to help decide the "sensible" thing to do......but then one gets caught up (by accident) in other debates! like "who is Squat Now?
The links to articles are great though..as I buy nothing other than the odd Standard, Sunday Times and occasional Grazia mag (but only because I am thrifty DFW at the mo)
But I will sort out a post at some point as I'm REALLY fed up at the mo with the "not sure what to do " feeling.0
